So, I did it

I did talk with the friend (mentioned in the previous post) and, while I didn’t get the answer I had been hoping for, but which I knew in my heart was not going to be forthcoming, we ended up instead in a mutual understanding of the fact that we are incredibly blessed to be together. We’re so compatible that it’s scary, and we understand each other at a pretty intimate level.

Funny, but this almost seems more fulfilling than a “merely” romantic relationship – this is much deeper and more meaningful. So, even though the answer was not the one I secretly wanted, I am so thankful for what we do have.
