Cat Trouble

It’s been a rough couple of days with our cat, Twitch. He was not himself on Sunday evening and no better on Monday, so Tuesday morning when he was worse we took him to the vet who sent us rushing to the emergency vet hospital.

He probably would not have lived until Wednesday, we’re told! On Tuesday, he had a procedure done that should have fixed him up, but this morning he took a turn for the worse and required more invasive surgery. That went well and he’s recovering, but he’ll need to be isolated for three weeks after he comes back home (probably tomorrow evening). As a side note, they also discovered that he has a heart problem, but that’s small potatoes compared to the life-threatening condition that required all this treatment.

Hopefully, he and his brother will soon be reunited and curling up together for many more years.
