IDRS 2012 Day 5, part 1

This morning, I only had time to attend one session, which was Terry Ewell’s excellent presentation of practice techniques to target endurance improvements for double-reed players.  I think I learned a lot, and I’ll know for sure after I get a few practice sessions under my belt 🙂

The funny thing was that an oboe student I accompanied earlier this summer (one of Kirsten Lipkens’ students) was sitting in the row in front of me with his mother!  It took us a little while to figure out why we thought we recognized each other, but it all became clear in the end.

Tonight, I’m in Independence, Ohio, just south of Cleveland.  Tomorrow night, I’ll be home.  The remainder of today will be the subject of tomorrow’s update 🙂  For now, we’ll just say that it was most enjoyable and one of the highlights of my summer!
