Flashback to yesterday
MG decided to ride along to take Ian to his camp, so the three of us loaded his things in the car and off we went on that dark and stormy day. No, let’s try that again – it was really more like cloudy with annoying rain. But we made good time nonetheless, left Ian off in record time (his choice, not ours!), and drove to the Hyde Park Brewing Company for dinner.
The slow service reminded me of how unusually slow it was the other times I was there; I really must try sitting at the bar the next time. At least one should stand a better chance of chasing down someone if they’re more or less trapped in front of you! The food was good and the beer was cold, so it was a more or less successful meal.
While putting the leftovers into the back seat of the car, I spotted the shampoo and deoderant that Ian had needed to buy on the way out of Longmeadow. Oops. Finally got him on the phone (they weren’t supposed to use phones, but he answered when he saw it was me calling for the second time) and then we drove back south to Vassar to drop these essentials off to him.
By the time we made it back home, it was very close to 10pm and we were both ready for sleep!
Fortunately, this morning was a lazy one. MG slept and I made a lemon meringue pie, so we each did things we enjoy 🙂
